A Stratigraphic Modeling Method based on Borehole Data

چکیده
The complexity of stratigraphic architecture makes the geological modeling over-reliance on labor, this means more timeconsuming and inefficiency. It is a difficult problem in using only borehole data in engineering survey for computerized automatic modeling to quickly establish the stratigraphic model. We joined connectivity criteria, as well as virtual drilling method, using an improved “layer-cake” method to create a stratigraphic model based on borehole data automatically. This method has the ability to deal with the formation lens, tip off, erosion and other phenomena of stratums effectively. We can make stratigraphy model based on the interpolated multi-layer of TIN data structure. This approach has been applied in engineering geological modeling of some regions in Nanjing, China.

The vadose zone beneath the USDOE’s Hanford Site in southeastern Washington State (Fig. 1) received approximately 1 trillion liters (450 billion gallons) of liquid waste, some contaminated with radioactive and hazardous contaminants. Today, Hanford is engaged in the world’s largest environmentalcleanup project, and a variety of conceptual and mathematical vadose zone models have been developed ...

This paper addresses the application of integrated chargeability and resistivity method and grade data in modeling and evaluation of copper deposits. We argue that the relationship between IP, Rs and grade data may be used for modeling and reserve estimation and tested this argument for Sarbisheh copper deposit that is located in eastern Iran. Geology and mineralization situation of Sarbisheh d...
